The Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011 legislates for projects that remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere or avoid greenhouse gas emissions, and it establishes a system for issuing Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) for eligible offsets projects.
