For this episode, we revisit the first piece of Dalit literature that established the aesthetic to understand most dalit writings of contemporary times. We talk about how violence against lower caste women is a constant and recurring theme in our country and is perpetuated by the existence of caste identities and customary practices. We talk about the hypocrisy of the caste system and a pinch in a very particular part of the Indian caste society which provides perspective to understand how deep-rooted it really is.
