Welcome to our first ever combo podcast episode! That’s right, the We Grow Together Podcast and the Dealmaking with Laura DiFrancesco are releasing the same episode. The popular app, TikTok, went dark on Saturday January 18, 2025 around 10:30pm. She goes over the ownership structure of the app and its implications for data privacy for both users and non-users. The conversation highlights the mistakes made by various parties in the legal arguments surrounding the ban and the broader implications for businesses, content creators, and everyday people. This is an ever changing issue and most Americans are not educated on what this “ban” really means.
