Michael is the founder and managing partner of Clay Path Partners. He manages all fund activities and plans to operate the fund’s acquired business.
Michael grew up in Washington, D.C. and Bethesda, Maryland. Other formative cities in his life include New York City and Williston, North Dakota. His grandfathers owned and operated a Czech industrial manufacturing business and a North Dakota family medical practice. They provided special examples of how small business entrepreneurship can empower employees, customers, and communities.
Prior to Clay Path Partners, Michael helped grow EverFi, a venture-backed education software company. As a business development leader, Michael sourced and closed partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, sports brands, and foundations. He also managed field implementation teams to deliver school-based education programs on behalf of Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League.
Michael’s hobbies include writing and swimming. As a college student, he covered hockey for the student newspaper and radio. Michael was a competitive swimmer through high school and still swims today. The sport has taken him around the world through his sister Katie, who has won 7 Olympic gold medals.
