In this superchat convo we were asked to list songs that represent the sound of each coast in hip hop. Instead of just focusing on East and West we decided to expand the discussion and highlight the South and Midwest as well. Each region has its own history and signature style that can be captured in certain tracks and we had a great time debating which ones stand out the most. From the raw lyricism of the East to the smooth bounce of the West, from the soul driven Midwest to the trunk rattling South, we dug into the tracks that showcase the heart of each movement.
