BOLD PRAYERS FOR OTHERS
BOLD PRAYERS FOR OTHERS Series: Bold Prayers – Week #5 Pastor Nestor Flores Sunday, September 7, 2025 “Don’t think that because you are in the palace you will escape when all the other Jews are killed… Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for such a time as this?” Esther 4:13–14 (NLT) “Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me… I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.” Esther 4:16 (NLT) BOLD PRAYERS FOR OTHERS… 1. See The Need Others Ignore “Mordecai sent this reply to Esther: “Don’t think for a moment that because you’re in the palace you will escape when all other Jews are killed. 14 If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” Esther 4:13–14 (NLT) 2. Step Into The Gap “Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.” Esther 4:16 (NLT) “I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.” Ezekiel 22:30 (NLT) “…I feel as if I’m going through labor pains for you again…” Galatians 4:19 (NLT) 3. Rely on God’s Favor “On the third day of the fast, Esther put on her royal robes and entered the inner court of the palace, just across from the king’s hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne, facing the entrance. 2 When he saw Queen Esther standing there in the inner court, he welcomed her and held out the gold scepter to her. So Esther approached and touched the end of the scepter.” Esther 5:1–2 (NLT) “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:16 (NLT 4. Release Deliverance and Reversal “So on March 7 the two decrees of the king were put into effect. On that day, the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, but quite the opposite happened. THE GREATEST INVITATION
Pastor Nestor Flores Sunday, August 3, 2025 “On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, 2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” 4 “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. 8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” 11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.” John 2:1-11 (NIV) 3 INVITATIONS OF JESUS TO US 1. THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:10-17 “Neither give place to the devil.” Ephesians 4:27 “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet.” Romans 16:20 UNDERSTANDING ITS SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE 1. The Word Is a Sword “Humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” Deuteronomy 8:3 “Do not put the Lord your God to the test as you did at Massah.” Deuteronomy 6:16 “Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name.” Deuteronomy 6:13 2. The Word Is The Spirit’s Sword “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13 “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6 3. How Do We Take This Sword? “You come to me with sword and spear, but I come to you in the name of the Lord!” 1 Samuel 17:45 “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart,” Hebrews 4:12 “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. 5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: 10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee. 11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.” Luke 4:1-13 (KJV) “Your word I have treasured up in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119:11

The Helmet Of Salvation
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual force of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:10-17 Understanding it's Spiritual significance and protection. 1. The helmet identifies us with Christ "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." 1 Peter 2:9 (ESV) 2. The helmet protects against discouragement "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, of famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?... No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." - Romans 8:35, 37 "Don't let your heart be ruled by what you see. let it be ruled by what Jesus promises you. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the word you will have tribulation. But take heart; i have overcome the world." John 16:33 3. The helmet protects against doubt "Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has god indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die." Genesis 3:1-4 Jesus said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee! Hebrews 13:5 "I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20 He is a "friend who sticks closer than a brother" Proverbs 18:24 "Even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most high will abide in the shadow of the almighty. I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my god, in whom i trust." Psalm 91:1-6

Series: Foundations of a Great Life - Week 3 Pastor Nestor Flores Sunday, June 1, 2025 “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV) “But to keep them from spreading their propaganda any further, we must warn them not to speak to anyone in Jesus’ name again.” 18 So they called the apostles back in and commanded them never again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? 20 We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:17-20 (NLT) “Be firm in your faith…” 1 Corinthians 16:13 (CEV) “…hold tight to your convictions…” (MSG) “It was by faith that Moses’ parents hid him for three months when he was born. They saw that God had given them an unusual child, and they were not afraid to disobey the king’s command.” Hebrews 11:23 (NLT) “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13 (NIV) CONVICTIONS ARE ESSENTIAL BECAUSE… 1. Convictions Shape the Person You Become “…Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.” Hebrews 11:24 (NLT) 2. Convictions Promote Responsibility “He chose to be mistreated with God's people instead of having the good time that sin could bring for a little while.” Hebrews 11:25 (CEV) 3. Convictions Define Your Core Values “Moses knew that the treasures of Egypt were not as wonderful as what he would receive from suffering for the Messiah, and he looked forward to his reward.” Hebrews 11:26 (CEV) 4. Convictions Improve Your Vision “It was by faith that Moses… kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.” Hebrews 11:27 (NLT)

THE FOUNDATION OF CHARACTER
Series: Foundations of a Great Life - Week 2 Pastor Nestor Flores Sunday, May 25, 2025 “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV) THREE TRUTHS ABOUT CHARACTER 1. Character Is Demonstrated By Actions “Even children are known by the way they act, whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right.” Proverbs 20:11 (NLT) 2. Character Determines Success And Advancement “My master trusts me with everything… how could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.” Genesis 39:9 (NIV) 3. Character Is A Decision “Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.” Romans 13:14 (NIV) “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control…” Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT) Build Character Through… A) A Devotional Journal • Prayer “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6 (NLT) • The Word of God "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (NLT) • Worship (Focus on God) “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.” Psalm 34:1 (NIV) B) Fasting “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?” Isaiah 58:6 (NIV) Fasting Does Three Things • It Free Us From Sin • It Frees Us From Spiritual Strongholds • It Frees Us From Burdens (Yokes) C) Fellowship “Let us not stay away from church meetings. Some people are doing this all the time...” Hebrews 10:25 (NLV) “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) D) Generosity “Since you excel in so many ways—in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us—I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving…” 2 Corinthians 8:7 (NIV) “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21 (NIV) E) Service “We all have different gifts that God has given to us by His loving-favor. We are to use them…” Romans 12:6 (NLV) F) Faith “We live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV) G) Pain “We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him…” Romans 8:28 (NLV)

THE FOUNDATION OF KNOWLEDGE
Series: Foundations of a Great Life - Week 1 Pastor Nestor Flores Sunday, May 18, 2025 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV) FOUR TRUTHS ABOUT KNOWLEDGE 1. Knowledge Is The Door To Success • Knowledge “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge…” Proverbs 1:7 (NIV) “…knowledge puffs up while love builds up.” 1 Corinthians 8:1(NIV) • Understanding “… I have better understanding than all my teachers because I think about Your Law.” Psalm 119:99 (NLV) • Wisdom “How much better to get wisdom than gold, and good judgment than silver!” Proverbs 16:16 (NLT) “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge…” Proverbs 1:7 (NIV) 2. Knowledge Sets You Free “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...” Hosea 4:6 (ESV) “…through knowledge the righteous escape.” Proverbs 11:9 (NIV) • Eternal Death “Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved. 2 I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. 3 For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. 4 For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.” Romans 10:1-4 (NLT) • Slavery “Therefore my people have gone into captivity, Because they have no knowledge…” Isaiah 5:13 (NKJV) • Taken Advantage Of “To keep Satan from taking advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.” 2 Corinthians 2:11 (AMP) 3. Knowledge Blesses You “Blessed are those who find wisdom… those who hold her fast will be blessed.”Proverbs 3:13-18 (NIV) “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!” Romans 11:33 (NKJV) 4. Knowledge Is Acquired “The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.” Isaiah 11:2 (NKJV)

MOTHERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Mother’s Day Pastor Nestor Flores Sunday, May 11, 2025 “So Manoah asked him, “When your words come true, what kind of rules should govern the boy’s life and work?” 13 The angel of the LORD replied, “Be sure your wife follows the instructions I gave her.” Judges 13:12-13 (NLT) MOTHERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE BECAUSE: 1. They Are Diligent “She carefully watches everything in her household…” Proverbs 31:27 (NLT) “All children are foolish, but firm correction will make them change.” Proverbs 22:15 (CEV) • It's Not What A Parent Does That Ruins Their Children. It's What They Tolerate. “One day when Samson was in Timnah, one of the Philistine women caught his eye. 2 When he returned home, he told his father and mother, “A young Philistine woman in Timnah caught my eye. I want to marry her. Get her for me.” 3 His father and mother objected. “Isn’t there even one woman in our tribe or among all the Israelites you could marry?” they asked. “Why must you go to the pagan Philistines to find a wife?” But Samson told his father, “Get her for me! She looks good to me.” Judges 14:1-3 (NLT) 2. They Have A Genuine Faith “These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.” 1 Peter 1:7 (NLT) Genuine Faith Requires 3 Levels Of Depth… • Head: Information • Heart: Inspiration • Hands: Incarnation 3. They Promote A Spirit Of Gratitude “Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: 29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Proverbs 31:28-29 (PDT) A Spirit Of Gratitude: • Promotes Generosity • Stimulates Faith • Glorifies God • Opens The Door For More 4. They Are Constant In Prayer “Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the LORD.” 1 Samuel 1:10 (NLT) “…she kept praying to the Lord…” 1 Sam. 1:12 (NLV) “Hannah was praying in her heart…” 1 Samuel 1:13 (NIV) “…I was pouring out my heart to the LORD.” 1 Sam. 1:15 (NLT) 5. They Love Unconditionally And Sacrificially “Older women are to teach the young women to love their husbands and children.” Titus 2:4 (NLV) This Kind of Love Impacts a Child: • It Builds Emotional Security • It Shapes Character • It Echoes The Gospel

"PLANTING SEEDS OF ETERNAL IMPACT"
Pastor Nestor Flores Sunday, May 4, 2025 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9 (NLT) TEACHING MATTERS… 1. Teaching Is Kingdom Sowing “Jesus also said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens.” Mark 4:26–27 (NLT) 2. The Seeds We Sow Are Eternal (God’s Word) “You have been given a new birth. It was from a seed that cannot die. This new life is from the Word of God which lives forever.” 1 Peter 1:23 (NLV) “So My Word which goes from My mouth will not return to Me empty. It will do what I want it to do, and will carry out My plan well.” Isaiah 55:11 (NLV) 3. It’s Hard Work, But it Pays Off “…you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV) “Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.” Psalm 126:5 (NLT) 4. Don’t Get Tired… Stay Faithful “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good...” Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

BROKEN DREAMS
Series: BROKEN – Week #7 Pastor Nestor Flores Sunday, April 27, 2025 “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21 (ESV) THE ANATOMY OF A DREAM 1. The Dream is Given “One night Joseph had a dream…. 6 “Listen to this dream,” he said. 7 “We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!” …9Soon Joseph had another dream, and again he told his brothers about it. “Listen, I have had another dream,” he said. “The sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed low before me!” Genesis 37:5-9 (NLT) 2. The Dream is Broken “When Joseph’s brothers saw him coming, they recognized him in the distance. As he approached, they made plans to kill him. 19 “Here comes the dreamer!” they said. 20 “Come on, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns. We can tell our father, ‘A wild animal has eaten him.’ Then we’ll see what becomes of his dreams!”… 23 So when Joseph arrived, his brothers ripped off the beautiful robe he was wearing. 24 Then they grabbed him and threw him into the cistern…” Genesis 35:18-24 (NLT) 3. The Dream is Refined “But the LORD was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love…” Genesis 39:21 (NLT) “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.” Genesis 41:16 (NIV) 4. The Dream is Fulfilled “So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?” 39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are. 40 You will be in charge of my court, and all my people will take orders from you. Only I, sitting on my throne, will have a rank higher than yours.” Genesis 41:38–40 (NLT) “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” Genesis 50:20 (NLT) “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished…” Philippians 1:6 (NLT)
