In addition to writing about health, Dr. Matthews conducts speaking engagements on topics like social media, motivation, inspiration and provides business advice to start-ups and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Matthews was a contributing writer for Good Enough Mother, Essence, MadameNoire and Black and Married With Kids, where she is reporting on health news and health care. In addition to her columns, Dr. Matthews has often appeared as a lecturer before various organizations.
