Hello and welcome to the Dark Roast Comics podcast, co-hosted by Jerry I and Victor Young. We are a couple of comic book enthusiasts who decided to create this podcast dedicated to exploring the deeper meanings of the comics medium, and having a space to appreciate the various crafts that go into a successful comic book. As part of the podcast, we will also be attempting to become coffee connoisseurs, trying a different brew each week while discussing our favourite comic books. We hope you'll join us on our journey.

Episode 51 - Take control of your own life - The Grim Knight #1, Blackbird #6
Hey guys! On this week’s episode we tackle the difference between a change in ideal vs a change in execution in The Batman Who Laughs: The Grim Knight #1 and witness the full transformation in Blackbird #6.
But before we talk comics, we talk a bit about the state of the MCU, and discuss a bit about the veteran casts in the Avengers. We’re not quite sure how some of the veterans will end their MCU run, but we’re definitely putting our theories out there!
For our coffee this week we have a brew Ardi roasted by Timbertrain Coffee Roasters. I’ll say this about this coffee, there were some surprise flavour notes that we would’ve never guessed. And even after the reveal, we still might not!
What did you think about this episode? What do you think about the backstory of The Grim Knight? Do you believe the transformation in Blackbird is justified, or does it spell trouble? Let us know what you think!
