Starship Singularity

This episode is thematically centered around the concept of Starship Singularity, the point in which all space travel changes from relatively cheap upmass and frequent launches. Featuring Michael Laine, Rachel Brooks, and Doug Plata.

Michael Laine starts the episode by discussing Bryce Tech's Startup Space Report and then segueing into Michael's Starship Singularity paper. Also, SpaceX’s update to Starship’s payload increase to 250 metric tons if the rocket booster was expendable and the ramifications of that update.

Rachel Brooks, special correspondent, brings in a defense analysis about Starship.  They discuss and highlight point to point suborbital as an asset for defense and more!

Near the end of the episode, Doug Plata from Open Space Development discuss new frontiers in space, the possibilities of new types of governance in space, and the general idea of forming new types of societies in space. They also discuss Starship Singularity — and how that will change the future of space development, include some napkin math about the cost of civilians to LEO and then Mars.
