I sat down for a chat with FC København midfielder Marko Stamenic, whose rapid rise through the ranks saw him graduate from FCK's U19s to the first team to play a pivotal role in midfield during the 2022/23 season, including starting in 3 of the Champions League group stage games. Hailing from New Zealand and with Serbian & Samoan roots, Marko's journey to Danish football is a fascinating one and we talked about loads including life in Denmark, playing in the Champions League and which player he'd trust to drive the team bus in an emergency!
