Bianca Oblivion on edit culture, LA raves and grime MCs

Bianca Oblivion came up through the rave and blog house scenes; her versatility as a DJ and producer weaving everything from rave to baile funk to grime to bass recently earned her a spot on Mixmag's Breakthrough DJs of the Year in 2023. Bianca is equally at home playing warehouses in her hometown of LA or grime sets on London pirate radio.

In this episode she speaks to Emily about edit culture and why remixes have always been integral to dance music, why building community is so important to her and how she adapts her sets depending on where she's playing. She also talks about setting boundaries and shares a story of a truly awful gig.
