São Paulo based DJ, musician and producer BADSISTA is know for her high energy sets blending influences from techno, Baile funk and rave. She is a fierce advocate of LGBTQ+ rights and parties and has stayed true to her values despite her growing success internationally and at home in Brazil.
BADSISTA talks to Emily about finding fame and the point where she decided to set her own tone as an artist, her tracks being sampled by big funk Brasil artists like MC Fioti, why community matters and what she thought of Europeans dancing when she first started touring. She also shares some of her favourite parties and clubs in São Paulo.
