DAM PODCAST

This show is a manifestation of the belief that creativity is a part of human nature and that more often than not, people that consider themselves creative in entirely different disciplines from one another will have so much in common. Being a designer and artist for many years myself and having had a good many conversations with musicians, battle rappers, painters.. etc. I decided during the lockdown that I'd record some of these conversations with creative people and put them online.

** WARNING: We don't only talk about the creative thing I know the guest for in these episodes, we tend to just talk to each other as people and see where the conversation goes. Some of the topics we cover can be adult and/or explicit so please keep that in mind and don't listen if you are underage or highly sensitive.

DAM PODCAST #18 — zomax

Today’s guest is Cornelius Dammrich, also known as zomax. Cornelius is a 3D artist based in Berlin, Germany. He specialises in creating detailed atmospheric CG environments, combining various software like Cinema 4D, Substance Painter and Houdini to create some of the most breath-taking art you’ve ever seen and is a master at making the observer feel something.

You can find examples of his work at his website corneliusdammrich.com and even purchase said work on platforms like SuperRare if you are so inclined.

In this episode we talked about our internet forum origins as artists, the non-scummy side of the NFT market, the need for perceived imperfections in artwork, streaming, game development and more!
