If you were in northern Peru or southern Ecuador, you may have felt the earth move.  The United States Geological Survey reported M 6.5 earthquake occurred 51 Km NW of Barranca, Peru.

Today is the day the music died.  February 3, 1959, a plane carrying Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and The Big Bopper, J. P. Richardson, took off from Clear Lake, Iowa, and crashed, killing all three and the pilot, Roger Peterson.

Born on this day in 1904 in Adairsville, Georgia, American gangster, bank robber, and FBI Most Wanted criminal, Public Enemy Number 1,  Charles “Pretty Boy” Floyd.

"Death is very often referred to as a good career move.”
