Trump Claims Biden Pardons are VOID and VACANT, Jan. 6th CMTE. Member Kinzinger says BRING IT!, 'I DON'T CARE' Homan STANDS BY Aliens Act DEPORTATIONS After DEFYING Court Order
Drew Petrimoulx chats with The Hill’s Julia Manchester after President Trump said he believes the preemptive pardons issued by former President Biden in the final days of his presidency aren’t valid. Julia gives her take on the administration’s reasoning behind the doubt, as well as what’s in store for Democrats as infighting takes its toll, and house GOP leaders home in on 26 of their most vulnerable seats ahead of the midterms. Julia also gives an update as Europe scrambles to fill a U.S.-sized hole in Ukraine’s war effort, and the U.S. military fires on the Houthi rebels in Yemen. Also in your Debrief: NASA Astronauts stranded in space for 9 months are finally coming home, and devastating storms over the weekend take at least 39 lives. Drew Petrimoulx chats with The Hill’s Senior Staff writer Rebecca Beitsch as the Trump Administration defends the President’s order citing an 18th century law to deport more than 200 immigrants to a Mega Prison in El Salvador, despite a judge ordering the flights to return to the United States. Rebecca has a look at the administration’s legal arguments and what’s next. The Hill’s Congressional reporter Mychael Schnell also joins Drew to discuss the democratic party infighting after the budget battle last week. Mychael also discusses the future of tariffs as well as Trump’s gutting of several agencies including Voice of America, and what it may mean for American influence abroad.
