Here is a classic debate between Malcolm X and Bayard Rustin from WBAI Radio New York on November 1960. From the Pacifica Radio Archive.
Malcolm X and Bayard Rustin were 2 great civil rights leaders with 2 differing left wing philosophies on how the African American communities can achieve social and political equality.
In 1948, Rustin traveled to India to learn techniques of nonviolent civil disobedience directly from the leaders of the Gandhian movement. In the 1950s, Bayard Rustin taught Martin Luther King Jr. of the tactics and philosophy of nonviolent civil disobedience.
