In early 2018, former Olympian Victoria Pendleton and TV presenter Ben Fogle started their attempt to climb Mount Everest, in support of the British Red Cross. Months before, the pair visited Nepal to see Red Cross projects, supporting areas affected by the devastating earthquake in 2015. This week on Crisis Conversations, we speak with Victoria about her summit attempt, the trip to Nepal, and why she decided to support the British Red Cross. We also want to congratulate Ben on successfully summiting Everest. To see more about his climb, please follow the British Red Cross on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

Episode 5: Do refugees have it easy in the UK?
There is an estimated 65 million people displaced around the world. Last year in the UK just over 15,000 people were given refugee status. But the hardship they experienced on their journey often doesn't end once they're here, with many falling through the cracks of the system into poverty and social isolation. This week on Crisis Conversations, we discuss what life is actually like for refugees and asylum seekers once they reach the UK.
