Just as the pandemic hit in March of 2020, Michelle Boat’s husband left her for a woman he met on facebook. She was terrified to be alone as the world was closing down around her. For months she tried to convince him to come back home where she said he belonged. She begged his new girlfriend, Tracy Mondabaugh, to “give him back”. She repeatedly told her, “He don’t belong to you”. For every day that Nick Boat was gone, Michelle marked the days off on the calendar. When she got to day 69, she did something unthinkable.
