Healing the Body with Curiosity and Creativity with Asal Shokati

Asal Shokati served a variety of roles in the arenas of finance, lending, and business consulting and have worked with hundreds of small businesses and startups as well as educational facilities. Over time, the stress of her career and the autoimmune condition she struggles to manage forced her to reevaluate her relationship with her body, which led her to not only the amazing creative healing power of Ayurveda, but also led her back to her roots and back into union with her body and her self.

Asal loves to paint, cycle, walk in nature and play the mystical Persian instrument of Setar and sometimes dance. A native of Tehran in Iran, Asal has lived in Texas for over 20 years and practices as an Ayurvedic practitioner and a certified yoga teacher with additional training from Restorative Yoga.
