E40 Empowering Individuals with Disabilities and Finding Creative Inspiration w Laura Froese

In this episode, We explore Laura's analytical approach to photography, discussing how setting specific goals like Project 52 helped her overcome creative blocks. The conversation touches on finding a balance between work and personal life, the joy of impacting others through teaching photography, and the value of community in fostering creativity. The dialog also hints at future discussions on photography techniques and evoking emotions in images.

• Challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in accessing support and services, particularly with limitations in disability benefits and disparities in available resources, highlight the need for improved support systems and understanding of diverse needs.

• Overcoming creative blockers in photography by setting specific goals like Project 52, focusing on taking action even when not feeling inspired, and adapting projects based on life circumstances, emphasizes the importance of starting to build momentum.

• Teaching photography workshops benefits both the instructor and participants, streamlining questions, setting boundaries, and creating a supportive learning environment, while emphasizing the value of community feedback and connections in fostering creativity.

Laura Froese is a Canadian-based wedding and family photographer on the West Coast of BC. She has been a professional photographer for 14 years, shooting weddings for 9. She is a mother to three young boys in a neurospicy household. Her husband works full time in the arts, as well, running his own Youtube channel with international renown in the niche nerdy communities.
