In this episode, I interview Todd Smith who is a coach who specializes in working with Highly Sensitive People. He helps them understand themselves, protect themselves from stress, and do the inner work to free themselves up to use the full power of their abilities. We had a wonderful conversation!
Highly sensitive people make up 15 to 20% of the population and play an important role. We are like very finely tuned instruments who can detect when something is wrong and gracefully guide others in a better direction. We are also highly creative. The trouble is, because we can sense much more than the average person, we can easily get overwhelmed and stressed! Todd offered some wonderful practical solutions for how to reduce and counteract overstimulation, some of which I am going to try out today!
We also took a deep dive into the inner work methods of Byron Katie in her book “The Work”. In addition, we talked about all the essential elements of healing and why highly sensitive people heal so quickly.
