What it means to be a family man, featuring Mike Bolds

A good father dedicates his whole life to his family. Do you agree?  In this week's episode, we talk to Mike, a father of three, about what masculinity is and how he developed his ability to be there for his family.

Mike has a strong sense of what masculinity means, what men have to offer the world, as a result, he knows what it takes to create your own sense of masculinity. Mike’s masculinity is derived from service to his family. It wasn’t always this way. It was a process that came about through training and reflection. He’s found his liberation in using all his faculties as a man in service to his family. He believes that men can offer the world strength, hardness, and discipline without destruction. The key to this is making yourself vulnerable enough to use your strength for people you love.

Creative Masculinity is an initiative and business around encouraging men to determine their own version of healthy masculinity through building community with like-minded men. We believe that patriarchy is the root cause of many of men's mental health problems and seek to undo it by redefining masculinity and healing from our traumas.
