The ordinals protocol on Bitcoin allows anyone in the world to inscribe data on a single satoshi - meaning that the NFT era on the bitcoin blockchain has begun - You heard that right - NFTs on Bitcoin.
The response from bitcoin maxis on this development is mixed, but it has definitely been getting attention from the Web3 space. Yuga Labs, Degods, and Onchain monkeys are just 3 big Web3 brands utilizing the new technology. With only being a month old, though, the protocol is in its infancy and can be tricky to understand.
