In Beer Destination: Limerick we take a stroll around Limerick City, and chat with the people who make the independent beer scene tick.
My first stop is at the Treaty City Brewery Taproom, which is located in the heart of the Medieval Quarter. Here I sit down with owner Stephen Cunneen, and hear all about Treaty's story to date, their plans for the future, and everything else in between.
Next up, I make my way out of the Medieval Quarter and in the direction of Limerick’s historic Milk Market. Located on High Street is Mother Mac's, a traditional Irish pub that has been serving a wide range of independent Irish beer ever since its doors opened in 2015. I sit down with co-owner Mike McMahon and chat all things Mother Mac's.
My third and final stop was a short stroll from Mother Mac's. Located on Thomas Street is Crew Brewing Company's Brewery and Taproom. In addition to making exceptional beers, Crew prides itself on making the beer scene as welcoming and as accessible as possible to everyone. I sit down with co-owner and head brewer Jono Crute and ask him about Crew.
As always, a huge thanks to the brilliant Arms That Fit Like Legs for providing the theme music for the podcast! The track is "You Will Go On My First Whistle". Links:
