#5 Dr. Steven Osofsky

Dr. Steven Osofsky is a Professor of wildlife health and health policy at Cornell University and also the Director of the Cornell Wildlife Health Center. His vast experience with wildlife in Southern Africa is the main focus of our conversation. We talk about the complex relationship between wildlife and agriculture in this region and how the project "Beyond Fences", in which the AHEAD group founded by Dr. Osofsky, managed to find a balance between these two sectors.
Dr. Steve Osofsky participated also on the "One World, One Health" meeting that happened in 2004, which supported the One Health approach to gain more awareness. In our conversation, we also discover how was to be in this meeting and the context behind it. We also discuss the trends, opportunities and the role of the next generations working with a One Health approach.
