In this sneak peek episode of Cowgirls Over Coffee, we discuss the art of navigating life's many demands—careers, cowboys, kids, and cattle. You’ll hear about my personal journey from being a "yes girl" to developing the strength to learn how to say no.
I emphasize the importance of getting clear on priorities to ensure that our commitments align with our personal and professional goals. I share a recent experience where I chose to say no to a volunteer opportunity at church. Initially hesitant, I realized that declining the offer would protect the sacred family time I cherish during Sunday services. Instead, you’ll hear of a new way that I found to serve that better suited my family's schedule—joining the church cleaning crew, a task I could involve my children.
This episode invites us all to reflect on our own lives: What are we saying yes to that perhaps deserves a no? By being intentional with our commitments, we create space for opportunities that truly enrich our lives and align with our values.

Thank you for spending your time with me on the Cowgirl Confessions podcast. I am so glad you stopped by. If you could take a moment to share this episode and tag us on social media- I’d be happier than a cowgirl in a sea of BOGO vintage turquoise.
Subscribe to make sure you don’t miss an episode. New episodes will be released bimonthly.
Please leave us a review by clicking “Write a Review” in the Apple Podcast app or website. Your feedback will really help us breathe the idea of grabbing life by the horns with a COWGIRL STATE OF MIND into women across the globe. You’ll even provide us an opportunity to reach cowgirls that have never even had the privilege to throw their leg over a horse but could most certainly use the cowgirl state of mind while navigating life.
Until next time, keep pursuing your dreams with that All Go & No Whoa mentality. Remember- You’re writing a story that’s worth saddling up for sister.
God Bless,
Dakota
