Mr./ Mrs. Fix "It"

Mr./ Mrs. Fix "It"

In this episode of Couples C.H.A.A.T. the Alston’s chaat about how even though your heart may be in the right place taking the approach of “Mr./ Mrs. Fix it” in your relationship normally is not the best approach. It’s nearly impossible to fix an issue that you don’t truly understand, and when your partner is having a bad day or is experiencing negative feelings, I know the first thing you’d want to do as a loving partner is to make them feel better or in other words “Fix it” for them. However, there are some problems that can only be fixed by the person who holds the issue. Instead of making their problem your and taking the approach of Mr. / Mrs. Fix it instead try asking your partner if or how you could support them and be there for them even if they don’t know what they need in the moment. It is not your duty to “Fix” your partner but you can support them while they work to “Fix” themselves. Let’s chaat about it!
