Psalm 116:7 instructs us to “Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.” In His goodness, we are drawn to come back to the place of rest. That’s actually where His goodness is discovered. Often times the Lord begins to move and the enemy comes right next to the move of God and he begins to push those who are close to it and we feel forced to a place where we have to start working in order to sustain what He began. And what started from the place of rest becomes work and strife. That’s when God says, “Stop!” We need to honour this holy pause.
