Catch up with a former English tutor
At a café near Peking University, Xiao Li is waiting for his former English tutor Sarah, a former overseas college student who returns to Beijing to work. Sarah is twenty minutes late.
S: Hi, 小李。实在抱歉，让你久等了。
李：没事，没事！好久不见了， 你这次来北京住在哪儿？
S：我住在和平饭店，就在北京大学的南边。你还是住在老地方吗？
李：对，不过我下个月就要搬到香山了。
S: 香山在哪儿？
李：在北京的西北边。你这回要在北京住多久？
S: 差不多两年。我在北京大学的外语培训中心工作。
李：哦，是吗？你教英语吗？
S: 不教英语，我教西班牙语。
李：是吗？我不知道你还会说西班牙语。
S: 哦，我妈妈是墨西哥人，她说西班牙语，所以我也会说西班牙语。你还在学习英语吗？
李：对啊！你还可以教我英语吗？
S: 当然可以，你学到第几课了？
李：我学到第37课了，下个星期要学第38课。第38课是 The Great Wall。你去过长城吗？
S: 我没去过，不过很想去。你去过吧？
李：去过，我去过四次了。我很喜欢去长城，有机会(jīhuì)我们一起去吧。
S: 好啊！
*有机会……: “if there is a chance” is a casual way to invite someone to do something together in the future. Neither party needs to feel committed to the invitation.
