One of the most famous Greek myths tells the story of a young Icarus, whose father Daedalus had built him wings to escape King Minos so they could fly to safety. It's said that while flying over the Greek island of Ikaria, Icarus flew too close to the Sun and his wings melted, pelting him to his death in the rocky sea below.

This island is also considered a blue zone, where many people live to be 100 and have healthier lives than much of the world.
