John Meese is a traditionally-trained economist turned serial entrepreneur and advisor to several Fortune 5000 businesses. He believes that most entrepreneurs are overworked and underpaid by the boss in the mirror, which is why he breaks down every business success into a repeatable, step-by-step process so that others can build a business that fuels their lives (rather than the other way around).

John and I caught up recently to talk about his experience in starting his co-working space called Cowork Columbia, which he opened 58 days before the COVID-19 lockdown. John discussed how and why he got started in the business and we shared some common practices not only for coworking spaces, but running businesses in general. 

We also dove into John's new book, Survive and Thrive: How to Build a Profitable Business in Any Economy (Including This One), where John lays out the principles that he's used to build successful businesses - even during a time of crisis.
