In Episode 29 of Conversations About Running we chat with Emelia Gorecka, 2x European junior XC champion, European Junior 3000m champion, and World junior bronze medalist over 3000m. Her 5000m pb is 1507! Emelia talks to us today about her success in athletics from a young age, the realities of signing a pro athlete contract as a 16 year old, and allows us a unique insight into her retirement from the sport. Emelia shares with us the reasons behind her retirement and explains why closing that chapter of her life was not a sob story and shouldn't be viewed as a negative experience.
