Today on Conversation Piece we may reshape or confirm your music taste and playlists, as we get into the discussion about Building A United Front Against Murder Music with Kwabena Rasuli, of Clear The Airwaves Project whose objective is to Clear The Airwaves of misogynistic, violent, destructive lyrics on radio stations that are specifically geared towards the Youth! Find out what is murder music and how to support the many Black artists whose music still loves and respects us.
But first let’s talk with Derek Steele, Executive Director, Social Justice Learning Institute in Inglewood, California. working with and preparing our next generation of youth. Derek started his journey with Social Justice Learning Institute after a diagnosis with hypertension at the age of 25. It was there at SJLI that he began to figure our how to re-create locate food access system to health disparities and food insecurity in the Inglewood community and beyond.
~Building a United Front Against Murder Music is meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, September 30th to October 1st, 2023, 11am - 4:30pm at the Auburn Ave Research Library, 101 Auburn Ave NE.
