In a very special Contending at the Water Cooler podcast, Megan McLachlan is joined by Miami Film Festival Director of Programming (and true crime/Babygirl enthusiast) Lauren Cohen to chat about Netflix’s new three-part docuseries Amy Bradley is Missing.
You may not have heard of this story before, but you’ve likely seen it on your social media feed this week.
It’s the story of Amy Bradley, the subject of the new Netflix three-part documentary series Amy Bradley Is Missing. from directors Ari Mark and Phil Lott. In 1998, the young twentysomething went missing off a Royal Caribbean cruise ship and was never seen again.
Or so it seems. In the years since, there have been sightings of Amy in Barbados and around the Caribbean, which begs the question whether she’s still alive or whether people want her to be alive.
I had the pleasure of chatting with Lauren Cohen,
Miami Film Festival Director of Programming, about this documentary, including the theories, the “Yellow” of it all, what this series covers that other shows haven’t, and more!
