In this series on healthcare and social disparities, Dr. Jill Wener, a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist, anti-racism educator, meditation expert, and tapping practitioner, interviews experts and gives her own insights into multiple fields relating to social justice and anti-racism. In this episode, Jill interviews Dr. Wylin D. Wilson, author and Assistant Professor of Theological Ethics at Duke Divinity School. They explore the benefits of long-term engagement with Black communities for improving healthcare outcomes for all, emphasizing the importance of lifting up people both within and beyond your own community.

Wylin D. Wilson is Assistant Professor of Theological Ethics at Duke Divinity School where she teaches Womanist Bioethics within the Theology Medicine and Culture program. She is the author of Economic Ethics and the Black Church and Womanist Bioethics: Social Justice,

Spirituality, and Black Women's Health.
