Will Humanity Have a Near-Death Experience? | Michael Grosso, EP 410

Can telepathy help save the world? Philosopher Michael Grosso thinks so. In this expansive conversation, Bernie and Michael explore how empathy, near-death experiences, and altered states might spark the shift humanity urgently needs. From the Eleusinian Mysteries to post-apocalyptic science fiction, they discuss how parapsychological experiences may be key to our evolution and survival.Michael Grosso obtained his Ph.D. in philosophy from Columbia University. Also an artist, Dr. Grosso’s special interest is in consciousness studies and creativity. His main but not exclusive focus is twofold: first, altered states and paranormal phenomena, including evidence for the postmortem survival of consciousness, and second, the implications for human evolution. Having had a range of paranormal experiences, he is especially intrigued by the near-death experience. He has published ten books, his most recent being Yoga of Sound: The Life and Teachings of the Celestial Songman, Swami Nada Brahmananda.Bernard D. Beitman, MD, is a Yale- and Stanford-educated psychiatrist and the founder of The Coincidence Project. He served as chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri-Columbia and is the first psychiatrist since Carl Jung to systematize the study of meaningful coincidences. His books Connecting with Coincidence and Meaningful Coincidences and his Psychology Today blog have reached millions.
