Digging Deeper into Garden Beds

Welcome to the Connected To The Land podcast, sponsored by Peavey Mart.

On this episode, Ian has a chat with Ashley Esakin who lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Ashley has a degree majoring in Soil Science from the University of Saskatchewan in College of Agriculture & Bioresources. Over the years, she has worked in a large range of research & development departments for various different large companies such as Bayer CropScience, Dow Agro Science, & Novozymes.

Her research has ranged from testing in innoculants, pesticide approval trials & wheat breeding. She now works in the fertilizer industry & specifically with anhydrous ammonia. She started a YouTube channel dedicated to the science of gardening because she believes science is the best way to get back to the basics. Her goal is to cut out the noise of plant hacks & complicated planting plans and empower her audience to focus on one vegetable or flower at a time.
