Dr Janette Walton is a senior lecturer in the Dept of Biological Sciences at Munster Technological University and is a principal investigator on the IUNA national dietary surveys in Ireland. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from University College Cork (UCC) in 1993 and then furthered her studies in Food & Nutritional Sciences completing both an MSc and PhD in this area. She has extensive experience in the dietary habits of the Irish population with specific interest in the paediatric population. She is a member of the FSAI sub-committee on Public Health Nutrition and has been a member of several working groups related to dietary guidelines for population groups in Ireland.

About Cati Pearson: BSc majoring in Human Nutrition and a MDiet from Otago University. Diploma in High Performance Sport (Triathlon) from Otago Polytechnic. Dietitian Prescriber under the Dietitians Board. Qualified Sports Dietitian from Sports Dietitians Australia and the Australian Institute of Sport. Cati previously worked as a senior surgical dietitian at Hutt Valley District Health Board, community dietitian across Lower Hutt, Older persons and rehabilitation dietitian at Rotorua Hospital, part of the chronic pain management team at QE Hospital and dietitian for the Sweat7 Triathlon club (Taupo). Cati was born and bred in Rotorua with a strong grounding in both recreational and competitive sport. She has previously represented New Zealand in the Enduro World Series. Now she rides bikes locally after setting up a women’s ride charity The Mud Maidens. She's a longstanding member of the Rotorua Association of Triathletes & Multisporters and Lake City Athletic Club.
