The word immigrant to so many like me, it signifies someone with a dream; a dreamer. I am Nancy Mulemwa Siisii. I was born and raised in Zambia, Africa, but I later migrated to America and settled in New York where I’ve been living for 20 years. As a dreamer, I have and continue to have a passion for making substantive bonds with audiences, and helping to inspire people to reach for their dreams. Being an immigrant has been one of the most challenging and extraordinary experiences of my life. It inspired me to start my podcast “Concrete Pastures: An African Immigrant Story” as a platform to reach out to fellow immigrants and dreamers.

Dexter: where storytelling meets engineering! Meet Dexter, a full-time engineer with a lifelong passion for media and film, inspired by his mother—a talented Nollywood actress and producer. Her journey into the world of storytelling ignited her son’ curiosity, leading him to create a production company that has brought his vision to life.
Andre: Meet Andre, also a full-time engineer, but his heart has always been in film. Andre’s adventure took him to Austin, where he studied at the Austin Film Society. That year equipped him with the technical skills and creative insights to turn his ideas into reality.
Together, the’ve launched a production called Awfully Good Productions, a space where their unique backgrounds and shared love for storytelling come together. Here, we explore authentic narratives and bring fresh concepts to the screen.
We diving deep into the world of film, our guest will be sharing insights of their journey, and their passion for storytelling.
