Hi Compounders!
This episode is the first of a series entitled “Guy’s Food For Thoughts” where I (Guy) will share my thoughts on several topics in investing. I will be very clear to separate fact from speculation, and I will refrain from speculating. These are my thoughts in the sense that this is a summary of my readings on specific topics. There may be a bias for that reason but otherwise I will stick to data and trusted resources.
This series will be audio only and will be an integral part of our podcast (link down below). For those who want to access all the content from YouTube, I’ve added a waveform (yes, I coded it in Python).
In this first episode I share my thoughts on the two main value drivers, namely the return on total capital and growth, and their tendency to revert to the mean due to competitive pressures.
I hope you will enjoy this format. Please comment below if you would prefer longer, deeper discussions to this bite-sized format and if you want that I cover specific topics.
