Hello everyone! This week we take a break from Covid-19 news and look at some other events in the world. First, we discuss the very sad and frustrating story of Ahmaud Arbery's murder. We talk about the infuriating case, as well as discuss the need for interracial/inter-cultural solidarity in the face of such blatant hatred. We also chat about the continuing Me Too movement in South Korea, with 74-years old Choi Mal Ja, who has formally submitted a request for a retrial from the 1960's where she defended herself from a rapist. We also celebrate the long fight and win at Northwestern's University over creating an Asian American Studies department. And finally, we highlight Vera Wang for our AppreciAsian of the Week!
