COMING HOME

At a time when all of us have experienced being isolated in our homes, it's easy to feel less at home than ever. This is a podcast where we, Scandinavian actresses Laura Bach and Sandra Andreis, invite world-renowned fellow artists, norm-breakers, researchers, scientists & spiritual leaders to share inspiring insights, vulnerable stories and hands-on advice about how we all can feel more at home with ourselves.

Together with our guests, we examine how to break the behavioral patterns that make us feel stuck and explore how to live a more joyful, connected and sustainable life from the inside and out. Because we do know one thing - maybe now more than ever - regardless of our gender identity, profession or nationality, we are more alike than we are different, and often it is a crisis or a challenge that cracks our hearts wide open and brings us closer to ourselves.

Get ready to laugh and be moved by the fresh perspectives that our knowledgeable and courageous guests bring to the table. Every episode is made to take you on an entertaining and profound ride. Welcome to Coming Home!

From Protection To Connection EP 8

Swedish psychologist Jenny Rickardsson joins us for this special episode on relationships. How do we handle and deepen them? How do we actually connect? Sandra shares her story about how one single sentence from a partner pierced her heart with a truth that rings in her ears to this day. Laura opens up about how she struggled with the balance of being a supportive partner, whilst setting boundaries and speaking her own truth.

As the co-hosts share their pivotal experiences, Jenny introduces us all to some useful keys for building a healthy relationship. We learn about the ACT method, the three pillars for meaningful connection, and how to apply and work with the triangle of “task, relationship and self-respect”. We also talk about the importance of vulnerability and why it is so difficult to open up authentically to one another.

  • In this episode we touch upon:
  • How to practice new behaviors in your relationships.
  • The importance of knowing your own values.
  • The timing of relationships, and when it's time to say goodbye to someone.
  • Setting intentions for how you want to act before you get triggered.
  • Being kind to yourself in the process of learning.
