Isaiah Bradley, the first Black Captain America, is a powerful symbol of resilience. He became one of the only survivors among 300 African-American soldiers used in beta trials of the super soldier serum. Although he embraced the Captain America mantle, his actions were seen as treasonous, leading to an unjust life sentence—he ultimately served 17 years. Despite the tremendous struggles faced by him and his family, Isaiah became a legendary figure and a beacon of hope in the Black community.
Join Mari, Brandon, and Bryce as they explore the remarkable story of Isaiah Bradley in the seven-issue mini-series "Truth: Red, White, and Black," written by Robert Morales and illustrated by Kyle Baker!
