Art in the Library: Rock Rainbow

The art inspiration for this episode is Crocodile Rock by Laura Stisser. This abstract acrylic-on-canvas work contains mysterious, indistinct, crocodillian figures flowing through the piece. Erin took inspiration from the work to  go on a treasure hunt for precious rocks and minerals that were used to create some of the first long-lasting blue and green pigments.  Take a trip from France, to Australia, to the Sinai Peninsula in search of information about rock-based pigments. Join us for this relaxing fourth episode.
