In the run up to the General Election, We want to speak with several candiates and hear their point of views and how theyre gonna help East Cork. This episode we are speaking to Mark Stanton. Mark Stanton was born and raised in Midleton, East Cork, attending Midleton CBS, for both primary and secondary education.
Mark would like to maximise the vast offshore and wind potential in Cork Harbour, and if elected to the Dáil, says this will be one of his priorities. In tandem with this, he wants to bring about improvements to the digital transformation of public services.
He wants to see issues around derelict and vacant housing addressed, as well as transport infrastructure challenges, including N25 congestion and the Youghal train and bus transfers.
In his own constituency, Mark will work to progress the flood relief programme, so that local businesses are supported.
