In this episode, I wander through the world of Orientalist art and the way it tried to define Algeria from the outside. These paintings weren’t just “pretty pictures”—they carried power, shaping how our culture was seen, and even how we were taught to see ourselves. I wanted to look closer at that gaze, at the distortions it left behind, and ask what it means to reclaim identity through our own voices and images.
