As emergency service workers we are often thrust in to high pressure situations requiring clear thinking and swift actions, which may result in someone living or dying. Leigh Anderson is no stranger to this after spending 15 years working as a frontline paramedic.
This exposure led Leigh to researching stress and then collating this information in his book 'The Paramedic Mindset'. This book aims giving us the tools and skills to maintain high performance and clear thinking during these stressful events.
In this episode Leigh and I discuss different aspects of stress such as interviews, the difficulty of being new to an emergency service role and dealing with complex emergency scenes.
