
Being held hostage by my emotional reactions is something I have always struggled with. The days after an angry outburst, crying fit or tantrum are brutal and embarrassing. More often than not, I wished I hadn't behaved the way I did, or said the things I said. I simply wasn't in control of me.
There are ways to start to work on your reactions and behaviors. It takes patience, understanding and honesty with yourself to start, but you can change how you react. It is possible to not regret your words.
