This is the personal story of Dragana Cvijic, one of the best pivot-players in the history of handball. She’s a true warrior and is known for her massive energy on the court! Her attitude and spirit when she plays is almost scary - but outside of the court she’s truly a great and kind person.
She grew up in Serbia, and was just a little child when she experienced the war in Balkan. Her father went to war for many years, and this really affected her relationship with him. We talk about the day her city was attacked, and she was hiding in the apartment with her mom, hoping that the bombs would not hit their block.
«When you experience war it stays in you forever, somehow».
Of course we talk about her career as a handballplayer. We talk about the life in Russia right now (she plays for CSKA Moskva).
This conversation was such a great one, and it gave me a good perspective. I hope you Enjoy this episode!
Thank you for sharing your story🤍 Best wishes, Elo
