Episode 218 - Linda Grimstone & Richard Hadwick*

From the 3rd to the 9th August 2025, National Missing Persons Week (NMPW) is observed across Australia. Now in its annual tradition, the week serves as a reminder that disappearances affect people from all walks of life. Community awareness is heightened through events, media features, and memorials like the “Missing Persons Family & Friends Walk.” The campaign encourages the public to renew efforts in sharing information, supporting affected families, and keeping unresolved cases—like those of Linda Grimstone and Richard Hadwick—in public consciousnes

Linda Anne Grimstone vanished on 4 September 2000 after dropping her two children at Croydon Hills Primary School. Later that day, she purchased petrol at Wesburn, and was seen around 3:50 pm in the Powers Lookout car park, about 270 km north-east of Melbourne. Her vehicle was found the following morning

abandoned in bushland nearby.

Richard Hadwick, aged 21, disappeared on 19 May 1990—his own birthday. Last seen at home in Belgrave South at about 12:30 am, he changed clothes for a planned trip to Foster’s Disco in Dandenong and left in a waiting taxi, with little money and no belongings. He never arrived at work again, and concerns grew after he was bailed on burglary charges and reportedly feared imprisonment. He has not been seen since
